ACC Children is a 20,542sm play center dedicated to educating children on cultural diversity sited at the southern entrance of the complex that offers creative games, activities, and performances tailored exclusively for children. Large exhibition halls offer “educational artifacts” that transform cultural knowledge into an aesthetic experience, complemented by a Children’s Theater and a Children’s Library. Above, a dedicated roof garden provides an outdoor play experience specific to younger needs. ACC Children connects the urban level with the courtyard below by a gently-sloped design, integrating circulation into the site with exhibitions which are built as malleable buildings-within-a-building.
